Andrea Hilland, Staff Counsel

Andrea will be stepping into Jessica Clogg’s role, working on forestry law and land use planning, while Jessica is on maternity leave. Prior to joining West Coast, for the past three years Andrea was a staff and then managing lawyer with EAGLE (Environmental Aboriginal Guardianship through Law and Education).

A member of the Nuxalk Nation, she articled at Sierra Legal and gained valuable coalition experience as an advisor to the Forest Action Network and Nuxalk liaison in the early days of the Great Bear Rainforest campaign.

A graduate of UBC Law School, she was called to the Bar in 2003. Andrea will be working with West Coast on a 4/5ths basis, devoting the balance of her time to EAGLE.
