Margot McMillan, Staff Counsel

Margot McMillan joined West Coast Environmental Law as Staff Counsel in 2006 in the Oil, Gas and Mining Program. Margot holds a B.A. in International Relations and and LL.B. from the University of British Columbia and was called to the Bar in 2005.

Before joining West Coast, Margot articled and worked as an associate at a law firm in Kamloops, B.C. specializing in corporate/commercial lending, insolvency and aboriginal law. In addition to working with West Coast LEAF and the Pivot Legal Society on public legal education and law reform campaigns, she has researched and written papers on directors’ and officers’ liability on insolvency, as well as corporate social responsibility.
