Jessie is a summer intern at West Coast Environmental Law, a law student at Thompson Rivers University, and holds a BA in Sociology from UBC. Jessie is passionate about environmental and animal rights law, particularly the area of novel rights claims, and is excited about contributing to the inspiring work of WCEL. Jessie has a background in environmental campaigning and organizing, and began her career in Alberta as a tar sands campaigner for Greenpeace.
Jessie's work with Greenpeace brought her to beautiful Coast Salish territory that she now calls home. Jessie’s aim in life is to be the kind of person her two rescued huskies think she is.
