Joint submission on Impact Assessment Agency of Canada Consultation Paper, “’One Project, One Review’: Co-operation Agreements for the Assessment of Major Projects”

This submission, signed by 20 environmental organizations and experts, responds to the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada’s proposed approach to pursuing impact assessment cooperation with provincial governments. The authors recommend that the federal government play an active role in impact assessment and that cooperation should be pursued through harmonization rather than substitution.
