Election 2025 Virtual Townhall: Voting for a Resilient and Sustainable Economy

Canada is at a crossroads. For over 50 years we’ve made great strides towards building a strong environmental safety net to promote a healthy and sustainable Canada.

But threats of tariffs and annexation are leading to calls for environmental deregulation in the name of economic development. Decades worth of laws designed to protect Canadians are at risk. Are environmental laws really getting in the way of the economy? What would the impacts of deregulation be? Would dismantling our environmental safety net help or hurt Canada? And do we really need to choose between the environment and the economy in the federal election?

On April 15 at 2:00 pm Pacific, join our virtual townhall, Voting for a Resilient and Sustainable Economy to hear our expert panel discuss what deregulation could mean for workers, the economy, the environment and everyday Canadians. Learn about how this election, voters can demand a prosperous economy and a stable climate and healthy environment.
